From concept creation to final execution, I crafted a hero video series, seamlessly blending green-screen stock footage with in-game captures to create compelling content that showcased RuneScape’s transition to mobile.

The goal was to excite both existing players and new audiences about the freedom of playing RuneScape on the go. To achieve this, I developed a creative concept that combined real-world scenarios with immersive in-game action, highlighting the seamless mobile experience.

The Challenge

The challenge was to effectively showcase the mobile gameplay experience in a way that felt exciting, natural, and engaging for social media. The content had to feel authentic to RuneScape’s world, while also standing out in fast-scrolling feeds across various social platforms.

The Solution

I developed the campaign’s core creative concept, focusing on players taking RuneScape with them anywhere. Using green-screen stock footage, I carefully selected and edited scenes that could seamlessly integrate with in-game footage, which I captured and refined for a polished look. Bringing everything together in After Effects, I produced a series of hero videos, which were then adapted into multiple formats for various social platforms.

The Result

The campaign successfully built excitement around RuneScape Mobile, engaging both longtime fans and new players. By blending live-action elements with in-game footage, the videos provided an immersive, engaging showcase of the mobile experience, ensuring strong social media impact and a successful game launch.
